Iteration measured in days
Most of the parts, boards and tools a connected device needs are a short drive from the lab. That changes how fast a hardware loop closes.
Huaqiangbei, across town
The Huaqiangbei electronics market in Futian district stocks passives, connectors, batteries, displays, modules and dev boards. When a bring-up needs a different resistor value or a spare antenna, an engineer can have it the same day instead of waiting for a distributor order.
Quick-turn PCB and assembly
PCB fabs and assembly houses in the region turn prototype boards around in days. A layout fix often reaches a new board within the same week, which keeps EVT moving.
Mold shops and finishing nearby
CNC, 3D printing, silicone molds, injection tooling and finishing suppliers are local. Our mechanical engineers can check T1 samples at the mold shop in person instead of reviewing photos.

How client visits work
- Pick the moment. The most useful visits are an EVT bring-up week, the first DVT build, or the first PVT run at the partner factory.
- Tell the project lead. Give us your dates two to three weeks ahead so the build schedule lines up with your trip.
- Travel. Shenzhen borders Hong Kong. Many visitors fly into Hong Kong and take the high-speed train from West Kowloon to Futian, or cross at a land border. Shenzhen Bao'an airport also has domestic and some international flights.
- On site. A lab walk-through, time with your engineers at the bench, and a line visit at the partner factory during your build, including first-article inspection.
- After. Visit notes and photos of your units go into your project folder.

Visit questions
Do I need a visa to visit Shenzhen?
Entry rules for US citizens change. Check the current rules with the Chinese embassy or consulate before you book. If your visa type needs an invitation letter, we send one.
Will I see other clients' projects on a visit?
No. Other clients' boards and enclosures are covered or moved before a visit, and we ask the same of visitors for your work. Photos are allowed only of your own project.
Can my team stay on site for a pilot build?
Yes. Sending one engineer for the first DVT or PVT build is a good use of a trip. We arrange a desk at the lab and access to the line at the partner factory.
